Introduction

These Terms and Conditions ("Terms") govern your use of services provided by KSM Media Walls ("we", "us", or "our"). By engaging our services, you agree to be bound by these Terms.

Please read these terms carefully before proceeding with any quotation or project. If you have any questions, please contact us before accepting our services.

Quotations

Free Quotations

All initial quotations are provided free of charge with no obligation to proceed.

Validity Period

Quotations are valid for 30 days from the date of issue. After this period, pricing may be subject to review.

Bespoke Pricing

All quotations are tailored to your specific requirements. Prices are based on the measurements, materials, and specifications discussed during consultation.

Variations

Any changes to the agreed specification may result in additional costs. We will inform you of any price changes before proceeding with variations.

Deposits & Payment Terms

Deposit Requirements

A deposit is required to secure your booking and commence material ordering. The deposit amount will be specified in your quotation and agreed upon before work begins.

Note: Your project will be added to our schedule only after deposit payment has been received.

Payment Schedule

  • Deposit payment secures your booking and materials
  • Balance payment is due upon completion of the installation
  • Payment must be made before we leave the premises
  • We accept bank transfer, cash, or card payment (where available)

Late Payment

If final payment is not received upon completion, we reserve the right to charge interest on overdue amounts at a rate of 8% per annum above the Bank of England base rate.

Snagging Resolution

For post-installation fixes

Our typical lead time from deposit payment to installation is 2-3 weeks. This allows us to:

  • Order and receive your chosen materials
  • Prepare custom components to your exact specifications
  • Schedule our professional installation team
  • Ensure quality craftsmanship without rushing

Important Notes

  • • Lead times may vary during busy periods or due to material availability
  • • Custom finishes or specialized materials may require extended lead times
  • • We will confirm your installation date once materials are secured
  • • Any delays will be communicated to you as soon as possible

Cancellation Policy

Customer Cancellations

We understand that circumstances can change. Our cancellation policy is as follows:

Before Materials Ordered

Full deposit refund if you cancel before we order materials (typically within 48 hours of deposit).

After Materials Ordered

If materials have been ordered, the deposit may not be refundable as custom materials cannot be returned. We will discuss options on a case-by-case basis.

On Installation Day

No refunds if cancellation occurs on the scheduled installation day. Materials and labor costs will be charged.

Rescheduling

We understand that plans change. You may reschedule your installation with reasonable notice:

  • At least 7 days' notice - no charge for rescheduling
  • Less than 7 days' notice - may incur rescheduling fee
  • Same day rescheduling - full day rate may be charged

Snagging & Post-Installation Support

We take pride in delivering perfect installations. However, if you identify any minor issues or defects after installation, we're here to help.

48-Hour Snagging Response

We aim to resolve any snagging issues within 48 hours of being notified. Our commitment is to ensure you're completely satisfied with your media wall.

What Qualifies as Snagging?

  • Minor cosmetic imperfections in finish
  • Small gaps or alignment issues
  • Touch-ups required on paintwork or finish
  • LED lighting adjustments
  • Cable management refinements
  • Minor hardware adjustments

Reporting Issues

To report snagging issues:

  1. Contact us within 7 days of installation completion
  2. Provide photos of the issue where possible
  3. We'll arrange a convenient time to return and resolve
  4. No additional charge for legitimate snagging work

Warranty & Guarantee

Month Warranty

All our installations come with a comprehensive 12-month warranty covering workmanship and materials.

What's Covered

Installation workmanship defects
Structural issues with media wall
Material defects or failures
LED lighting malfunctions
Fireplace integration issues
Mounting or fixing failures

What's NOT Covered

  • Damage caused by misuse or accidents
  • Normal wear and tear
  • Damage from modifications by third parties
  • Issues with customer-supplied equipment (TVs, soundbars, etc.)
  • Manufacturer defects on third-party products (covered by manufacturer warranty)
  • Cosmetic damage after installation (scratches, marks, etc.)

Making a Warranty Claim

If you experience any issues covered by our warranty:

  1. Contact us with details and photos of the issue
  2. We'll assess the claim and arrange an inspection if needed
  3. Genuine warranty claims will be resolved at no cost to you
  4. Keep your original invoice as proof of purchase

Limitation of Liability

Insurance Coverage

KSM Media Walls carries appropriate public liability insurance for all installation work. We take every precaution to protect your property during our work.

Our Liability

We accept liability for:

  • Direct damage to your property caused by our negligence during installation
  • Defects in workmanship as covered by our warranty
  • Failure to complete work to a reasonable professional standard

Limitation of Liability

Our total liability is limited to the amount paid for the specific project. We are not liable for:

  • Indirect or consequential losses
  • Loss of profits or business interruption
  • Pre-existing damage or defects in your property
  • Damage caused by events beyond our reasonable control (force majeure)
  • Issues arising from inaccurate information provided by the customer

Customer Responsibility: You are responsible for ensuring that the installation area is clear and accessible. Any existing electrical work should be carried out by a qualified electrician, and you should inform us of any structural issues before installation.

Additional Terms

Site Access

You must ensure clear access to the installation area and adequate parking for our team. Additional charges may apply if access issues cause delays.

Electrical Work

We can install sockets and basic electrical connections. However, all electrical work must comply with current regulations and may require certification by a qualified electrician.

Materials & Finishes

We use high-quality materials, but natural variations in wood grain, color, and texture are normal. Samples are indicative only and may not exactly match the final product.

Customer-Supplied Items

If you supply your own TV, fireplace, or other components, we cannot be held responsible for their compatibility, installation issues, or defects.

Photography & Marketing

We may photograph completed installations for marketing purposes. Please inform us if you do not wish your project to be featured in our portfolio.
